Dahlia ‘Akita’

Dahlia Akita

Dahlia ‘Akita’ blooming with petals often slightly rolled at the tip

Dahlia ‘Akita’ is a massively blooming plant. From midsummer until the first days of frost, this cultivar shows off its amazing blooms of ivory-tipped crimson petals around a yellow center. It was hybridized by Konishi and introduced in 1986. The photo was taken in the Dahliengarten (Dahlia Garden) designed for the IGA Berlin 2017 exhibit in Germany.
