Near Dungeon Rock: Union Rock

Union Rock

Union Rock

A short walk away from Dungeon Rock formation—a popular hiking destination in the Lynn Woods Reservation north of Boston, you will find a singular rock, called Union Rock: from the Dungeon site, walk north on Jackson Path and turn left at its junction with Dungeon Road to continue in northwest direction and spot Union Rock off the road to your left (see map [1]).

Union Rock is a well-known glacial erratic. What it may reveal about the Walden Pond Fault was addressed in a 2015 geological field trip [2].
