“How did this boulder get its name?”

The Great Frog Boulder is located approximately half-way between Overlook Crag and Balanced Boulder on Overlook Trail. This scenic forest path winds north of Walden Pond in the Lynn Woods Reservation. Granite knolls and massive boulders can be found alongside and off this trail. Like other boulders and cliffs in the area, Great Frog Boulder is not only a sight-seeing destination for hikers and mountain bikers, but also attracts climbers—bouldering enthusiasts to be precise.
