A sculpted rock outcrop along Ridge Trail

Goat Rock is one of the many sculpted rock outcrops in Castle Rock State Park. The rock site is easily accessible via the park's Ridge Trail. To overview the Big Basin and Monterey Bay you may climb the rock or hike to the nearby scenic overlook that features an interpretive panoramic map. A great place to scan the Ben Lomond Mountain Ridge—a stretch of coastal hilly terrain including the prominent Eagle Rock peak.
