The Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is part of the Nevada System of Higher Education. The pictures above show a map, places and buildings of TMCC's Dandini Campus, located in north Reno, next to the Desert Research Institute (DRI) and the Western Regional Climate Center (WRCC).

The two top-row pictures show the TMCC campus and the Red Mountain Building, which houses a cafeteria, the Student Center as well as conference and other spaces to meet, talk, learn and work together. The TMCC map gives an overview of the central campus circle and building ensemble surrounded by parking lots. The TMCC website provides more detailed, location-specific Campus and College Maps. The lower right picture highlights between-the-classes TMCC outdoor experiences. The Vista Building terrace is a nice place to view the Truckee Meadows and the Carson Range with Mount Rose. An interpretive panel on the terrace provides a short biography of adventurer and mountain man James Pierson Beckwourth, who explored emigrant wagon routes during the gold rush days—connecting Reno and Sparks with places in the Sierra and beyond.
